As we inch closer to being able to enjoy live music together again, the members of Bluesberry Jam wanted to share this memory from the inaugural Pride Squamish event in 2019 and take a moment to wish everyone a happy pride month. Big love to everyone in the queer community. We hope to perform at a Pride event again soon!
2020 has been a year unlike any other. Not being able to perform, or even practice has been a huge challenge for us, but the music is alive and well in our hearts and our minds. And we haven’t forgotten about you, our fans, who always get up and dance and cheer us on without fail. We hope you are happy and healthy and we look forward to the day when we can all get up and dance together! Stay safe and enjoy the holidays.

Bluesberry was so pleased to participate in the inaugural Pride Squamish event. We had a fantastic time, hats off to all of the organizers at Pride Squamish! Even though there was some rain, we had a good crowd and the sun came out in time for Queer as Funk’s fantastic performance. Our own Bryan Davies even got up on stage and did a killer trumpet solo to “It’s Your Thing”. It was heartening to see so many people out in support of the queer community and we loved rocking our shiny new pride t-shirts!
Thanks for the photo, Rebekah Gusway!
